City Councillor Daniel Duckworth will be standing for Preston East in the Lancashire County Council elections in May – an area which covers Ribbleton, Brookfield and Farringdon Park.
Daniel has been proud to be a City Councillor for Sharoe Green since May 2019. He is Preston born and bred, living in Fulwood all of his life.
He has the passion and drive to do the best for local residents, and sets an example by championing local causes such as Fulwood Food Bank, Preston Windrush generation and Descendants UK.
Daniel is passionate about raising awareness of disability rights and ensuring the voices of the most vulnerable in the community are heard. In January 2020, he put forward a notice of motion raising awareness of invisible disabilities and ensuring Preston is more inclusive and open to all.
In May, local residents will have the opportunity to influence who represents them, shouts up for them and makes a difference. Residents in the ward deserve the best and the option of having a choice. Daniel will fight hard for front line services, work hard for the local community and listen to residents’ concerns to ensure their voices are heard.
Daniel is continuing to ensure that residents’ voices are heard in the pandemic holding regular zoom meetings and maintaining contact through social media.
